Artistic Director / Choreographer
& performance specialist
“Lorraine is a pleasure to work with: hugely reliable, endlessly energetic, and naturally collaborative. She has an instinctive ability to encourage others to participate, including – indeed especially – audiences who aren’t frequent arts attenders. She is very adaptable, working on the day to accommodate the unforeseen without letting it compromise the artistic end goal. We’re very proud to be able to work regularly with Lorraine on her home turf in Nine Elms and are very grateful for all the dance – and joy – she brings to the area

Lorraine Roberts’ positive energy and commitment to her practice make her a pleasure to work with. Her projects have a strong conceptual underpinning and an imaginative engagement with ideas, and she is not afraid to push herself in taking creative risks or working in challenging conditions. She delivered ambitious projects that required thorough planning, maintaining an ongoing dialogue, which allowed problems to be solved collaboratively as they emerged. She always prioritised the safety and wellbeing of her dancers, whether these were professionals or drawn from local community networks.

I worked with Lorraine Roberts in the spring of 2018.
We coproduced a dance with children from St George’s School building on some work we had been doing with them to encourage th to grow food.
Lorraine was able to inspire the children to use their bodies creatively and put together a performance based on their knowledge of how seeds and plants grow.
The children worked well in groups together with good guidance and instruction from Lorraine and parents were able to see the result at a community performance on a Saturday.
I would love to work with Lorraine again. She is easy to work with, completes tasks on time, plans and thinks of everything. I highly recommend working with Lorraine and am happy to be contacted if you would like any further information
